Flood Relief for Palmares Brazil
Donate & Help Brazilians Survive
From 1991 to 1993 I had the privilege to serve on a mission in the city of Palmares, Brazil, so I learned to love the Palmares people. During half of my 2 years on the mission field, they treated me as a son, as a brother and as a real friend...
And I have been talking about that experience ever since!
Some weeks ago, my sister called me from a distant city to let me know what had happened to that wonderful city... a flood had come and left a scene of destruction behind it.
I couldn't help feeling overwhelmed by that.
As I'm living in the Southeast of Brazil nowadays, I've been wondering what I could do to help those people I love...
Today, I received a message through Facebook about a friend who prepared a page entitled Flood Relief for Palmares Brazil, aiming to collect donations for those affected by the disaster.
I visited it, and to to my great surprise, there was just a small amount given to such a cause. Then I decided to write this page.
If you can help with any amount, that would be greatly appreciated. I knew personally the girl in charge of receiving and managing the donations, her family, and Matt Fletcher - the one who created the page. I know their integrity as Christians and good citizens.
Please visit the page and read the details about your donation.
Those who donate ANY amount will receive a copy of my ebooks Learn Portuguese at Home and Heróis Anônimos - which means 'Anonymous Heroes'.
Do your part, become one of those heroes, and you will have our gratitude of Brazilians who are really in need.
Thank you for all your help.
