    Cada minuto tem sessenta segundos.

    Esta foi a segunda vez que que falei para ele não conversar.

c. Have you got a second? I would like to have a word with you.
    Você tem um segundo? Eu gostaria de dar uma palavrinha com você.

a. My life is an open book.
    Minha vida é um livro aberto.

b. You shouldn’t judge a book by its cover.
    Você não deve julgar um livro pela capa.

c. The book is on the table! (I thought I’d never say this phrase!)
    O livro está sobre a mesa! Pensei que nunca fosse dizer essa frase!

a. Would you like me to carry it for you?
    Quer que eu carregue pra você?

b. These boxes are too heavy for me to carry on my own.
    Estas caixas são muito pesadas para eu carregar sozinho.

c. Can you help me to carry these bags upstairs?
    Pode me ajudar a carregar estas sacolas até o andar de cima?

280. took / levou, interpretou

a. I believe she took me wrong.
    Acredito que ela me interpretou mal.

b. It took me 10 years to graduate!
    Levei dez anos para me formar!

c. His mother took his arm and took her outside.
    A mãe dele pegou-o pelo braço e o levou para fora.

281. science / ciência

a. Science performs miracles.
    A Ciência faz milagres.

b. What do you think of Science?
    O que você acha da Ciência?

282. eat / carne

a. Do you eat meat?
    Você come carne?

b. We usually eat at about 1 p.m.
    Nós geralmente almoçamos lá pela uma da tarde.
