Eu desenho um sol amarelo
E com cinco ou seis retas
� f�cil fazer um castelo
Corro o l�pis em torno da m�o
E me dou uma luva
E se fa�o chover
Com dois riscos tenho um guarda chuva
Se um pinguinho de tinta
Cai num pedacinho azul do papel
Num instante imagino
Uma linda gaivota a voar no c�u
Vai voando,
Contornando a imensa curva norte sul
Vou com ela viajando
Hava�, Pequim ou Istambul
Pinto um barco a vela,
Branco, navegando,
� tanto c�u e mar num beijo azul
Entre as nuvens vem surgindo
Um lindo avi�o rosa e gren�
Tudo em volta colorindo
Com suas luzes a piscar
Basta imaginar e ele est� partindo,
Sereno, lindo,
E, se a gente quiser,
Ele vai pousar
Numa folha qualquer

Com alguns bons amigos
Bebendo de bem com a vida
De uma Am�rica � outra
Consigo passar num segundo
Giro um simples compasso
E num c�rculo eu fa�o o mundo
Um menino caminha
E caminhando chega num muro
E ali logo em frente
A esperar pela gente o futuro est�
E o futuro � uma astronave
Que tentamos pilotar
N�o tem tempo nem piedade
Nem tem hora de chegar
Sem pedir licen�a
Muda nossa vida
E depois convida
A rir ou chorar
Nessa estrada n�o nos cabe
Conhecer ou ver o que vir�
O fim dela ningu�m sabe
Bem ao certo onde vai dar
Vamos todos numa linda passarela
De uma aquarela
Que um dia enfim
Descolorir�

In any sheet
I draw a yellow sun
And with five or six straights
It is easy to make a castle
I run the pencil around my hand
And give myself a glove
And if I make it rain
With two risks I have
an umbrella
If a drop of ink
Falls in a blue piece of
paper
In a moment I imagine
A beautiful seagull flying
in the sky
Keep flying,
Going around the imense curve North South
I go with her, traveling
Hawaii, Beijing or Istanbul
I paint a sailing boat,
White, sailing,
It is so much sky and sea in a blue kiss
Among the clouds is emerging
A beautiful plane, pink and gren�
All around coloring
With its flashing lights
You have just to imagine and it is departuring,
Calm, beautiful,
And, if we want,
I will land
In any sheet
I draw a leaving
ship
With some good friend
Drinking and celebrating life
From one America to the other
I can cross in a second
I turn a simple compass
And in a circle I make the world
A boy walks
And walking get to a wall
And right out there
Waiting for us the future
stands
And the future is an airplane
Which we try to fly
It has to time neither piety
Nor time to arrive
Without excusing
Changes our lives
And then invite us
To laugh or to cry
On this road we are not allowed
To know or see what will come
The end of it nobody knows
Well for sure where it goes
Let us all cross this beautiful
bridge
Made in a watercolor
Which someday
Will desappear
