Since I heard about the idea of free Pen Pals for the first time, it played a chord on me. I was in my teens, and as there wasn�t such thing like the Internet, I started my own pen pal club by writing daily letters.

With a little notebook�s help, I collected dozens of friends� addresses and started putting pen to paper. Every other day there was a new letter for me in the mailbox!

(That very simple habit profited me another very special friend: the postman.)

I still remember some of those good friends, and the lessons we shared. Some of them have been keeping in contact up to now, 20 years later!
